The guy who runs that software specialties site, Llevram, has a character editor I think built for exactly the purpose of editing characters here, though I have never used it. There's a handful of people still active over at who might be able to help you edit your file since I don't think Mad God's Cosmic Forge tool allows save file editing (just game resource editing, but my version is like 6 years old now and looks like he's still updating it and fixing bugs and adding features as of 2020 so not sure what it can do now). It's possible you can create your party's races/classes win Wiz7's character creation, and then start a game and save it, and then edit the save file so your party is level 5 with estimated level 5 stats and give them some of the gear your Wiz6 party had. But I don't want to dismiss it out of hand just for that. I feel like I need SOMETHING to get a leg up in Wizardry 7, as I am absolutely not having fun with the base game with a clean slate. Still, anything I could use that roughly approximates what I had would be much appreciated. I can always rename and change portraits. I'd be surprised if anyone had the exact party I finished with, and the races don't matter to me as much as the classes/skills. In summary, I spammed a lot of Monks and Ninjas because I was too lazy to find/keep actual armor. Elf Monk & Gnome Monk with all spells + Ninjutsu. Maxed all spells, Skullduggery, and ninjutsu. Nudist armor, but had a Bushido Blade and Wakizashi +2. Maxed Kirijutsu/swords/ninjutsu/Theosophy/Theology. Maxed all 4 schools of magic and Lances/Kirijutsu. Rawulf Valkyrie with the Maenad Lance and the other gear dropped by the Valk in the Catacombs. Focused on HP/shields/scouting/kirijutsu. Lizardman Fighter with all the Black Knight gear.

If it makes a difference, I got the ending where I didn't take the Forge, and killed Bela. If I listed my party that finished the SNES version from Wizardry 6, would anyone be able to spare a save file I can start Wizardry 7 with? Supposedly, there is an automap kit near the starting area, but I can't handle the enemies blocking it and I absolutely do not have the patience to grind more than 3 hours for one paltry level up in the first dungeon, just to unlock the map.Īpparently, importing your party makes the early game easier because you keep your equipment and start at level 5, but I can't import from SNES to PC. I started playing Wizardry 7 on Steam, but I am not having any fun with a fresh party and I can't figure out how to make the automap mod work.
